Parlivon: talk in 66 languages
Parlivon translates real conversations. Share one pair of earbuds, speak normally, and each person hears the other in their own language — plus camera translation for signs and menus, chat translation for noisy rooms, and phrasebooks for when the signal dies.
Works with TWS earbuds on Bluetooth 5.2+ with independent single-ear operation · Basic tier without an account · plans from a single trip to a family of three devices · live voice, typed translations and camera scans need internet
- You speak English
Parlivon voices it in their language, in their earbud.
- They reply
Auto-route detects the switch — no buttons mid-sentence.
- Point at the menu
Read signs, labels and forms in your own language.
- Lose the signal
Downloaded phrases and flashcards still work. Save audio before travelling.

Share one earbud, speak normally — each person hears the other in their own language.
What Parlivon does
Four situations travellers actually hit — talking, writing, reading, and losing signal.
Voice conversation
Two people, one phone. Translate speech aloud with hold-to-speak or automatic direction switching. Internet and microphone access are required.
Camera translate
Point at a menu, sign, ticket machine or label and read it in your language, overlaid on what you see.
Chat translate
Type instead of talking. Both languages stay on screen — ideal in loud places or for longer explanations.
Offline phrasebooks
Download English-paired travel phrases before you fly. Read phrases and practise flashcards offline; save pronunciation audio while connected.
Group broadcast
One person speaks and a whole group hears the translation in their own earbuds.

Three steps to your first conversation
Pick two languages
Including regional variants such as US, Canadian and UK English or Paris and Canadian French.
Share an earbud
Each person hears only their own language. Needs TWS earbuds on Bluetooth 5.2, 5.3 or 5.4 with independent single-ear operation. Without earbuds the phone speaks out loud instead.
Just talk
Connect to the internet, allow the microphone and take turns. Use hold-to-speak or automatic mode; check important details in the transcript.
Why not just use an AI chat?
For one typed question, a chatbot works. A conversation with the person in front of you is a different job — and it is the job Parlivon is built for.
Hands stay free
Each of you wears an earbud and hears only your own language. No typing, no passing the phone, no copy-pasting between windows.
It knows who is talking
Direction switches automatically when the other person replies — you are not pasting text back and forth in one window.
Built for the street
Point at menus, signs and labels with the camera, and use downloaded phrasebooks where a chat app has no signal at all.
Ready before you land
Languages and setup stay remembered on the device, and Basic works without an account — you are not writing prompts from scratch each time.
The part other apps forget: offline
Download English-paired phrasebooks for your trip while you have Wi-Fi. Saved phrases, pronunciation guides and flashcards stay on the device. Download pronunciation audio before you leave; offline playback depends on saved audio or a compatible device voice. Hand the phone over to show a phrase and its translation. New live translations still need internet.
How offline mode works
- Per-language download size shown up front
- Cached pronunciation audio
- Favourites for the phrases you reuse
- Flashcard practice with self-checking
- Category chips: airport, food, payments, emergencies
- Neutral, masculine or feminine wording
Privacy taken seriously
Audio and images are processed to translate, not to profile you. Review, export or delete your data — with Canadian privacy law in mind.
